Jackson Hole, Wyoming Coffee Shoppes
In the midst of a whirlwind day of touring, hiking and getting ready for dinner, you may want to take five in one of Jackson Hole's unique cafes. There are several around the Square, each with its own feel and style. The Betty Rock Coffee House & Cafe (corner of Jackson & Pearl) has a different artist featured on their walls each month, and plenty of reading material. They have many specialty coffee drinks and great coffee cakes and bagels, and the lattes come in an oversized cup! Up the street on Pearl is Cafe 245 (245 W. Pearl). Decorated with a black and white checked floor and tall stools and tables, they are known for their breakfast burritos and an array of coffee beans you can have fresh-ground. Even farther up Pearl is Pearl Street Bagels (145 West Pearl) which, along with a bold cup of coffee, has bagels for breakfast or lunch a popular hangout or quick stop for coffee and a bagel and to scan the daily newspapers. A few blocks down and around the corner on King Street is Shades Cafe (82 S. King). The cozy log cabin offers temptations such as Belgian Waffles and coffee drinks specially named for the area. On the other side of the Square in the Pink Garter Plaza is Charlies Coffeehouse. With plenty of tables to play in-house board or card games, or read one of the books on the shelf, this is the place to drink a bottomless cup of coffee. Keep an eye or ear out for book readings or live music in the evening. Upstairs in The Broadway Shops is Espresso West, perfect for a sit-down break from shopping. Beantown, the latest edition to the Jackson Hole coffee scene, is located in the Buffalo Junction business center about a mile south of the town square on Alpine Lane. |
